What are soap flowers?

Soap flowers are decorative blooms — roses, peonies and others — made of fragrant glycerin soap. The petals are shaped from thin sheets of soap and assembled by hand, so from a distance the bouquet looks alive. The difference: soap flowers never wilt. They keep their shape, colors and gentle fragrance for months and even years, need no water or care, and can also be used for their original purpose — as real soap. They are most often gifted for March 8th, Valentine's Day, birthdays or anniversaries — as a “forever” alternative to the classic bouquet.

What they are made of

The base material is glycerin soap — soft, pliable and kind to the skin. Fragrance compositions or essential oils and colorants are added to it. In quality soap flowers (including ours, made in Plovdiv), the ingredients are natural, and every bloom is shaped by hand — which is why no two pieces are alike.

Do they look real

A well-made soap flower is easily mistaken for a real one from a meter or two away. The thin soap petals have a structure and shading close to a living flower. The difference is felt by touch — and by the fragrance, which is finer and “soapy”, with floral notes.

What they are used for

There are three main uses. First — as a gift: a bouquet or box of soap flowers is a gesture that lasts and needs no care. Second — as decor: the bouquet stands for months on a desk, dresser or shelf and lightly scents the room. Third — as intended: the individual blooms can be used as scented hand soap or a wardrobe sachet.

It is exactly this combination of beauty, durability and practicality that has made soap flowers one of the most sought-after gifts for women in recent years.
